About this publication
Better questions make better analytics.
Web Marketing Analytics is an independent field guide for people who have to turn imperfect marketing data into real decisions.
We focus on methods that can be inspected: clear definitions, proportionate measurement, honest uncertainty, and checks that expose where a conclusion may fail.
Nothing here depends on a particular vendor or a perfect data stack. The goal is to help analysts and marketers build evidence their teams can understand, challenge, and use.

- Name the decision.Measurement begins with what someone needs to decide—not what a tool happens to collect.
- Show the assumptions.Every model has a boundary. Useful analysis makes that boundary visible.
- Prefer reproducible checks.A reader should be able to test the method against their own data.
How the articles are made
Web Marketing Analytics is the responsible publisher named in article bylines. Data stories identify the source, sample, metric, and limits of each finding, then separate our interpretation from published figures. Tool comparisons use linked product documentation unless an article explicitly describes a hands-on test. Hypothetical examples are labeled and are not presented as customer results. We correct material errors and change update dates when the article itself changes.
Your choice
Analytics & privacy
Optional Google Analytics is available on this website, but runs only after you accept analytics.
We use Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to understand which guides people read and how the site is used. These services do not load before you accept analytics. Rejecting analytics does not restrict access to our guides.
If you accept, Google can receive usage data such as page views and interactions, referring pages, browser and device details, and pseudonymous cookie identifiers. Requests to Google also include connection information such as your IP address. Analytics cookies named _ga and _ga_… help distinguish browsers and sessions. This setup keeps advertising storage, advertising user-data consent, and ad personalization denied; it does not add advertising tags.
Your choice is saved in this browser’s local storage under wma-analytics-consent for up to 180 days. That preference is separate from Google’s analytics cookies. You can change it using Analytics choices in the footer when analytics is enabled. Choosing Reject stops this site’s analytics, removes its analytics cookies where browser access allows, and reloads the page. Withdrawal does not erase information already sent to Google.
If your browser cannot save a choice, analytics stays off. If storage becomes unavailable after you previously accepted, the choice panel explains when a change cannot be saved; analytics is disabled on that page. See how Google uses information from sites using its services and Google’s Privacy Policy for more information.
